Privacy policy

Information on the processing of personal data under the GDPR. The legally binding version is the German one.

1) Controller and collection of personal data

We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest. Below we inform you about how we handle your personal data when you use our website. Personal data means any data that can be used to identify you personally.

The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Meier Vertriebs GmbH & Co. KG, Fasanenweg 3, 32361 Preußisch Oldendorf, Germany, phone: +49 (0)5742 9696-20, email: info@meier-holzhausen.de.

    2) Data collection when visiting our website

When using our website purely for information, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called “server log files”):

    • The website visited
    • Date and time of access
    • Amount of data sent in bytes
    • Source/reference from which you reached the page
    • Browser used
    • Operating system used
    • IP address used (where applicable, in anonymised form)

Processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data is not passed on or otherwise used.

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption, recognisable by the “https://” prefix and the lock symbol in your browser.

      3) Cookies

To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies — small text files stored on your device. Some are deleted automatically when you close your browser (“session cookies”); others remain longer and store page settings (“persistent cookies”).

Where individual cookies also process personal data, processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b), (a) or (f) GDPR. You can configure your browser to inform you about cookies and decide individually on their acceptance, or to exclude them generally. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

        4) Contacting us

When you contact us (e.g. via the contact form or by email), personal data is collected. The data collected via a contact form is shown in the respective form. This data is stored and used solely to answer your enquiry and for the associated technical administration.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; where your contact aims at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

          5) Rights of the data subject

Applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive rights vis-à-vis the controller:

          • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
          • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
          • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
          • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
          • Right to notification (Art. 19 GDPR)
          • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
          • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
          • Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR)

          Right to object

Where we process your personal data on the basis of our overriding legitimate interest, you have the right to object to this processing at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, with effect for the future. If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing the data concerned, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

            6) Storage period

The storage period for personal data is determined by the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing and — where applicable — the relevant statutory retention period (e.g. commercial and tax law). Data processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR is stored until you exercise your right to object under Art. 21 GDPR, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for continued processing.

              Note

This privacy policy reflects the processing that actually takes place on this website. Services such as web analytics, newsletters or WhatsApp Business are not currently used; corresponding sections will be added when such services are integrated. The German version is authoritative; a final legal review takes place before go-live.
